Privacy Policy
Last updated July 28, 2026
This policy explains what data Swipe Shopping uses, why it is used, and what choices you have in the app.
Data We Collect
We may collect account data such as name, email, authentication identifiers, selected username, selected interests, selected language, selected currency, app settings, onboarding progress, and support requests. We may also collect shopping activity such as product views, dwell time, image browsing, detail opens, likes, skips, optional skip reasons, searches, selected sizes and colors, saved products, cart actions and removals, checkout attempts, orders, purchase attempts, price preferences, battery level patterns, optional approximate location/weather context, membership status, device information, diagnostics, crash data, approximate interaction data, support chat messages, translated support text, support attachments, friend requests, product shares, direct message metadata/content needed to provide cross-device messaging, voice-note references where needed, user-submitted report reasons and the last 10 reported chat messages, moderation labels, ban reasons and durations, deletion request records, refund decisions, and subscription transaction identifiers needed to operate and improve the app.
How We Use Data
We use data to create and secure accounts, keep account features available across devices, personalize the feed, avoid showing skipped products again, improve search and recommendations, remember cart options, process purchases, manage carts and orders, calculate purchase loyalty points, membership monthly bonus points, and membership savings, provide friend requests and product sharing, provide support, review evidence, process user-submitted chat reports, moderate prohibited files and abusive accounts, show ban reasons where applicable, route refund requests, prevent abuse, debug crashes, maintain admin aggregate metrics, and comply with legal obligations.
Recommendation Signals
Recommendation signals may include your selected interests, product categories and tags, likes, skips, optional skip reasons, views, detail opens, image browsing, time spent viewing products, purchases, cart activity and removals, searches, product prices you tend to buy or avoid, product freshness, product popularity, battery level patterns, and optional approximate location/weather context. The app may use adaptive on-device ranking signals such as recency decay, tag weights, category weights, tag co-occurrence, negative suppression, price affinity, and exploration rates so recommendations can learn over time. Some fast personalization signals may be stored locally on your device, and some activity may be stored on backend systems so your feed stays fresh across sessions. You can reset recommendation history in settings, but some order, account, and legal records may remain where required.
Account Storage and Payments
Account authentication is handled through secure backend services, and account records may be stored in AWS with identifiers, email, interests, onboarding status, creation time, last activity time, and membership state. Apple processes iOS subscription billing through your Apple ID. Apple Pay and payment processors may process eligible product payments where enabled. Swipe Shopping may store limited subscription identifiers, order payment status information, support records, and accounting records so access, orders, support, and compliance can work correctly, but we do not receive or store your full Apple payment card details.
Ads and Tracking
Swipe Shopping may use account interests, selected country or region, recent campaign exposure, sponsored-card impressions, and sponsored-card clicks to choose, rotate, measure, and limit first-party advertising campaigns. Swipe does not require cross-app tracking to provide these campaigns. If a future advertising partner uses tracking across other companies’ apps or websites, Swipe will update its disclosures and request permission through Apple App Tracking Transparency when required.
Third-Party Services
We may rely on service providers for hosting, authentication, analytics, checkout, fulfillment, product catalogs, subscriptions, messaging delivery, advertising campaign payments, tax support, and exchange-rate data, including AWS, Apple, Stripe, authentication providers, rate-data providers, and supplier or marketplace partners. These providers process data only as needed for their services or as otherwise disclosed to you. Third-party product pages, checkout pages, supplier pages, or advertiser links may have their own terms and privacy practices.
App Store Privacy Labels
Before release, the App Store privacy questionnaire should accurately disclose the data categories used by the app and its third-party partners, including contact information, purchases, identifiers, user content or preferences, search history, usage data, and diagnostics. If advertising or tracking is enabled later, those data uses should be disclosed and the app should request Apple App Tracking Transparency permission where required.
Retention and Deletion
We keep data only as long as reasonably needed for the app, cross-device account access, account records, security, tax, accounting, support, dispute, refund, analytics, moderation, and legal purposes. You can request account deletion in settings, delete direct messages, and delete direct chats where those features are available. Message or chat deletion removes the local copy and sends a backend deletion request for the matching server records where the backend is configured. Chat reports may retain the submitted reason and the last 10 submitted messages for moderation, dispute, safety, or legal purposes. Some data may remain for a limited time in backups, logs, fraud/abuse prevention records, dispute files, accounting records, legal holds, recipient devices, screenshots, exports, or systems controlled by third-party providers. Account deletion may remove account data, interests, loyalty state, membership state stored by us, order history stored by us, saved items, carts, support messages, attachments, direct message records stored by us, moderation records where deletion is allowed, and local app data, subject to lawful retention requirements. Deleting your Swipe Shopping account does not cancel an Apple subscription; subscriptions must be managed through your Apple ID.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect user data, including secure token storage where available, transport security, authenticated backend requests, access controls, deletion controls, SecureStore-backed local message keys, encrypted local message envelopes, and integrity checks for some preview messaging content. Admin tooling is intended to limit direct-message review to user-submitted reports or other lawful operational needs. Support chats, direct messages, voice-note references, product shares, and attachments may be protected by app, device, transport, local encryption, and backend safeguards where available, but no system is perfectly secure and no app can guarantee that data will never be accessed, disclosed, delayed, corrupted, or lost. Do not share passwords, full payment card numbers, identity documents, or unnecessary sensitive personal data in support chats or direct messages. Any production claim of end-to-end encrypted messaging should be backed by audited key exchange, attachment encryption, retention, and message delivery systems.
Children
Swipe Shopping is not intended for children under 13 or for users below the age required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so it can be reviewed and deleted where required.
Your Choices
You can update interests, choose a display currency, reset recommendation history, toggle dark mode, update your username, choose friends, remove pending shared products, sign out, request account deletion, manage platform ad tracking permissions, restore or manage Apple subscriptions, and contact support about privacy requests. Some choices may limit personalization or app functionality.
Contact and Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices, providers, or legal requirements change. Material updates will be reflected in the app. Contact support through settings or the App Store support URL for privacy questions.
